⁴¹ After you put these clothes^(A) on your brother Aaron and his sons, anoint^(B) and ordain them. Consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.^(C)

¹⁸ And he sent you on a mission, saying, ‘Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out.’

²² But Samuel replied:

³ And if anyone still prophesies, their father and mother, to whom they were born, will say to them, ‘You must die, because you have told lies^(A) in the Lord’s name.’ Then their own parents will stab the one who prophesies.^(B)
