18 They will listen to what you say. Then you and the leaders of Israel will go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now we ask you to let us travel three days to the desert to give gifts on an altar in worship to the Lord our God.’ 19 But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, except by a powerful hand. 20 So I will put out My hand and trouble Egypt with all the powerful works I will do there. After that he will let you go.

18 “The elders of Israel will listen(A) to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews,(B) has met(C) with us. Let us take a three-day journey(D) into the wilderness to offer sacrifices(E) to the Lord our God.’ 19 But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand(F) compels him. 20 So I will stretch out my hand(G) and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders(H) that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go.(I)
