⁶ Then He continued, “I am the God of your father,^[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”^(A) Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

¹⁵ God also said to Moses, “Say this to the Israelites: Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever;^(A) this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.

¹⁷ And take this staff in your hand that you will perform the signs with.”^(A)

²⁰ So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey, and returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took God’s staff^(A) in his hand.

⁹ The Lord said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud,^(A) so that the people will hear when I speak^(B) with you and will always believe you.” Then Moses reported the people’s words to the Lord.
