13-15 (A) Each man over 19, whether rich or poor, must pay me the same amount of money, weighed according to the official standards. 16 This money is to be used for the upkeep of the sacred tent, and because of it, I will never forget my people.

15 The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less(A) when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives. 16 Receive the atonement(B) money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the tent of meeting.(C) It will be a memorial(D) for the Israelites before the Lord, making atonement for your lives.”
