¹² Why should ^(A)the Egyptians speak, saying, ‘With evil intent He brought them out to kill them in the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and change Your mind about doing harm to Your people.

¹⁷ Nothing from that which is put under the ban shall cling to your hand, in order that the Lord may turn from ^(A)His burning anger and ^(B)show mercy to you, and have compassion on you and ^(C)make you increase, just ^(D)as He has sworn to your fathers,

^9 (A)Who knows, God may turn and relent and withdraw His burning anger so that we will not perish.”
