18 Again he said, I beseech thee, show me thy [a]glory.
19 And he answered, I will make all my [b]good go before thee, and I will [c]proclaim the Name of the Lord before thee: (A)for I will show [d]mercy to whom I will show mercy, and will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
20 Furthermore he said, Thou canst not see my face, for there shall no man see me, and [e]live.

I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.(D) 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see(E) me and live.”
