²⁷ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write ^(A)these words, for according to the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” ^28 (B)So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And ^(C)He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ^[a]Ten Commandments.

^13 (A)So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, ^(B)the Ten Commandments; and ^(C)He wrote them on two tablets of stone. ¹⁴ And ^(D)the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might ^[a]observe them in the land which you cross over to possess.
