25 The silver received from the men in the community who were listed and counted weighed almost four tons. Their total number was 603,550. 27 The four tons of silver were used to make the bases for the holy tent and for the curtain. The 100 bases were made from the four tons. 25 The silver obtained from those of the community who were counted in the census(A) was 100 talents[a] and 1,775 shekels,[b] according to the sanctuary shekel— 26 one beka per person,(B) that is, half a shekel,[c] according to the sanctuary shekel,(C) from everyone who had crossed over to those counted, twenty years old or more,(D) a total of 603,550 men.(E) 27 The 100 talents of silver were used to cast the bases(F) for the sanctuary and for the curtain—100 bases from the 100 talents, one talent for each base.
