⁸“If they will not believe you,” God said, “or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign.

⁸Then the Lord said, “If they do not believe^(A) you or pay attention to the first sign,^(B) they may believe the second.

¹⁷And he said to him, ^(A)“If now I have found favor in your eyes, then ^(B)show me a sign that it is you who speak with me.

¹⁷Gideon replied, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign^(A) that it is really you talking to me.

¹²And ^(A)this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby ^(B)wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
