6 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand^(A) he will let them go;^(B) because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”^(C)

⁴ he will not listen^(A) to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment^(B) I will bring out my divisions,^(C) my people the Israelites. ⁵ And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord^(D) when I stretch out my hand^(E) against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”

¹⁵ For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people^(A) with a plague that would have wiped you off the earth.

³ Then Moses said to the people, “Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt,^(A) out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand.^(B) Eat nothing containing yeast.^(C)

⁹ This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand^(A) and a reminder on your forehead^(B) that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.^(C)

¹⁴ “In days to come, when your son^(A) asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.^(B)
