Exodus 8:18-20

18 The soothsayer priests tried with their secret arts to produce [a]gnats, but (A)they could not; so there were [b]gnats on every person and animal. 19 Then the soothsayer priests said to Pharaoh, “(B)This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was [c]hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.
20 Then the Lord said to Moses, “(C)Rise early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh, [d]as (D)he comes out to the water; and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: “(E)Let My people go, so that they may serve Me.

18 But when the magicians(A) tried to produce gnats by their secret arts,(B) they could not.
Since the gnats were on people and animals everywhere, 19 the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger(C) of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart(D) was hard and he would not listen,(E) just as the Lord had said.
