10 Then they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh: and Moses sprinkled them toward the heaven, and there came [a] [a]scab breaking out into blisters upon man, and upon beast.
11 And the sorcerers could not stand before Moses, because of the scab: for the scab was upon the enchanters and upon all the Egyptians.
12 And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them, (A)as the Lord had said unto Moses.

Exodus 9:10-12
New International Version
10 So they took soot from a furnace and stood before Pharaoh. Moses tossed it into the air, and festering boils broke out on people and animals. 11 The magicians(A) could not stand before Moses because of the boils that were on them and on all the Egyptians. 12 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart(B) and he would not listen(C) to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said to Moses.
