29 Moses said to him, “As soon as I’ve left the city, I’ll spread out my hands to the Lord. Then the thunder and the hail will stop and won’t return so that you will know that the earth belongs to the Lord. 30 But I know that you and your officials still don’t take the Lord God seriously.” (31 Now the flax and the barley were destroyed, because the barley had ears of grain and the flax had buds.

29 Moses replied, “When I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands(A) in prayer to the Lord. The thunder will stop and there will be no more hail, so you may know that the earth(B) is the Lord’s. 30 But I know that you and your officials still do not fear(C) the Lord God.”
31 (The flax and barley(D) were destroyed, since the barley had headed and the flax was in bloom.
