⁵ Your lamb shall be ^(A)without^[a] blemish, a male ^[b]of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

^20 (A)Whatever has a defect, you shall not offer, for it shall not be acceptable on your behalf. ²¹ And ^(B)whoever offers a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, ^(C)to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it. ^22 (D)Those that are blind or broken or maimed, or have an ^[a]ulcer or eczema or scabs, you shall not offer to the Lord, nor make ^(E)an offering by fire of them on the altar to the Lord. ²³ Either a bull or a lamb that has any limb ^(F)too long or too short you may offer as a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

²⁴ ‘You shall not offer to the Lord what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut; nor shall you make any offering of them in your land.

^21 (A)But if there is a defect in it, if it is lame or blind or has any serious defect, you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.

^27 (A)that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, ^(B)not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without ^[a]spot to God, ^(A)cleanse your conscience from ^(B)dead works ^(C)to serve the living God?

¹⁹ but ^(A)with the precious blood of Christ, ^(B)as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
