²⁵ clogging^[a] their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from before Israel, for the ^(A)Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.”

³⁰ The Lord your God who goes before you ^(A)will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

²² You shall not fear them, for it is ^(A)the Lord your God who fights for you.’

⁴ for the Lord your God is he who goes with you ^(A)to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’

^14 (A)There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for ^(B)the Lord fought for Israel.

⁴² And Joshua captured all these kings and their land at one time, ^(A)because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.

³ And you have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake, ^(A)for it is the Lord your God who has fought for you.

¹⁵ And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ^(A)‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, ^(B)for the battle is not yours but God's.

^29 (A)And the fear of God came on all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

²⁰ In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. ^(A)Our God will fight for us.”
