²⁵ And He ^[a]took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord ^(A)fights for them against the Egyptians.”

^30 (A)The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

²² You must not fear them, for ^(A)the Lord your God Himself fights for you.’

¹⁴ And there has been ^(A)no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for ^(B)the Lord fought for Israel.

⁴² All these kings and their land Joshua took at one time, ^(A)because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.

² And Joshua ^(A)called for all Israel, for their elders, for their heads, for their judges, and for their officers, and said to them:

“I am old, advanced in age.

²⁹ And ^(A)the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

²⁰ Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. ^(A)Our God will fight for us.”

God Will Deliver Jerusalem

⁴ For thus the Lord has spoken to me:
