⁶ He changed the sea to dry land;
    through the river they passed on foot.^(A)
There we rejoiced in him,

¹³ He split the sea and led them across,^(A)
    making the waters stand like walls.^(B)

¹³ Who split in two the Red Sea,
    for his mercy endures forever;
¹⁴ And led Israel through its midst,
    for his mercy endures forever;

¹⁸ She took them across the Red Sea
    and brought them through the deep waters.

⁷ The cloud overshadowed their camp;
    and out of what had been water, dry land was seen emerging:
Out of the Red Sea an unimpeded road,
    and a grassy plain out of the mighty flood.^(A)
8 Over this crossed the whole nation sheltered by your hand,
    and they beheld stupendous wonders.

¹² Who guided Moses by the hand,
    with his glorious arm?
Where is the one who divided the waters before them—
    winning for himself an everlasting renown—
¹³ Who guided them through the depths,
    like horses in open country?
