¹⁴ The Lord then said to Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a reminder and recite it to Joshua: I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven.”^(A)

³ Tear down their altars, smash their sacred pillars, burn their Asherah poles, cut down the carved images of their gods, and wipe out their names from every^[a] place.^(A)

¹⁹ When the Lord your God gives you rest^(A) from all the enemies around you in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance,^(B) blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven. Do not forget.^(C)

²⁰ The Lord will not be willing to forgive him. Instead, his anger and jealousy will burn against that person, and every curse written in this scroll will descend on him. The Lord will blot out his name under heaven,^(A)
