²¹ Moreover you shall select from all the people ^(A)able men, such as ^(B)fear God, ^(C)men of truth, ^(D)hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

^16 (A)These were ^(B)chosen^[a] from the congregation, leaders of their fathers’ tribes, ^(C)heads of the divisions in Israel.

² Then ^(A)the leaders of Israel, the heads of their fathers’ houses, who were the leaders of the tribes ^[a]and over those who were numbered, made an offering.
