¹¹ and be prepared by the third day, for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.^(A)

¹⁶ On the third day, when morning came, there was thunder and lightning, a thick cloud on the mountain, and a loud trumpet sound, so that all the people in the camp shuddered.

¹⁷ So the Israelites set out and reached the Gibeonite cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, Chephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath-jearim.^(A)

Esther Approaches the King

5 On the third day,^(A) Esther dressed up in her royal clothing and stood in the inner courtyard^(B) of the palace facing it. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the royal courtroom, facing its entrance.

²³ They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” And they were deeply distressed.
