⁶ then his master shall bring him to the ^(A)judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.

²² “If men ^[a]fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that ^[b]she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall ^(A)pay as the judges determine.

^28 (A)“You shall not revile God, nor curse a ^(B)ruler of your people.

^8 (A)“If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between degrees of guilt for bloodshed, between one judgment or another, or between one punishment or another, matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the ^(B)place which the Lord your God chooses.

⁹ And ^(A)you shall come to the priests, the Levites, and ^(B)to the judge there in those days, and inquire of them; ^(C)they shall pronounce upon you the sentence of judgment.

¹⁷ then both men in the controversy shall stand before the Lord, ^(A)before the priests and the judges who serve in those days.
