³³ They must not remain in your land, or else they will make you sin against Me. If you worship their gods, it will be a snare for you.”^(A)

¹³ know for certain that the Lord your God will not continue to drive these nations out before you. They will become a snare and a trap for you,^(A) a scourge for your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you disappear from this good land the Lord your God has given you.

²¹ “I’ll give her to him,” Saul thought. “She’ll be a trap for him, and the hand of the Philistines will be against him.”^(A) So Saul said to David a second time, “You can now be my son-in-law.”^(B)

²⁶ And I find more bitter than death^(A) the woman who is a trap,^(B) her heart a net, and her hands chains. The one who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner will be captured by her.
