⁹ “Also ^(A)you shall not oppress a ^[a]stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger, because you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

³³ ‘And ^(A)if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him.

²² You shall have ^(A)the^[a] same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God.’ ”

¹⁴ And if a stranger ^[a]dwells with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would present an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do.

¹⁶ “Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying, ‘Hear the cases between your brethren, and ^(A)judge righteously between a man and his ^(B)brother or the stranger who is with him.

^17 (A)“You shall not pervert justice due the stranger or the fatherless, ^(B)nor take a widow’s garment as a pledge.

²⁹ The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully ^(A)oppress the stranger.
