³⁴ The Lord said to Moses, ^(A)“Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense (of each shall there be an equal part),

¹¹ and ^(A)the anointing oil and the fragrant ^(B)incense for the Holy Place. According to all that I have commanded you, they shall do.”

^29 (A)He made the holy anointing oil also, and the ^(B)pure fragrant incense, blended as by the perfumer.

²⁷ and burned fragrant incense on it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

^28 (A)Did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, ^(B)to wear an ephod before me? ^(C)I gave to the house of your father all my offerings by fire from the people of Israel.

^13 (A)The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. ^(B)Aaron was set apart to dedicate the most holy things, that he and his sons for ever should ^(C)make offerings before the Lord and ^(D)minister to him and ^(E)pronounce blessings in his name for ever.

⁴ Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God and dedicate it to him for the burning of ^(A)incense of sweet spices before him, and for ^(B)the regular arrangement of the showbread, and for ^(C)burnt offerings morning and evening, ^(D)on the Sabbaths and the new moons and the appointed feasts of the Lord our God, as ordained for ever for Israel.

¹¹ My sons, do not now be negligent, ^(A)for the Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him and to be his ministers and make offerings to him.”

⁹ according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot ^(A)to enter ^(B)the temple of the Lord and burn incense.
