Moses Makes New Tablets

34 The Lord said to Moses, ^(A)“Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, ^(B)and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, ^(C)which you broke.

¹⁸ And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the ^(A)two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with ^(B)the finger of God.

^16 (A)The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.

^13 (A)And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, ^(B)the Ten Commandments,^{[a] (C)}and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.

² And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets that you broke, and ^(A)you shall put them in the ark.’

⁴ And ^(A)he wrote on the tablets, in the same writing as before, the Ten Commandments^{[a] (B)}that the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire ^(C)on the day of the assembly. And the Lord gave them to me.
