^13 (A)But rather, you are to tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and cut down their ^[a](B)Asherim ¹⁴ —for ^(C)you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—

^3 (A)You shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their ^[a]Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods and ^(B)obliterate their name from that place. ⁴ You shall not act like this toward the Lord your God.
