7 The Lord answered Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet. ² You must say whatever I command you; then Aaron your brother must declare it to Pharaoh so that he will let the Israelites go from his land.

⁵ Then the Lord put a message in Balaam’s mouth and said, “Return to Balak and say what I tell you.”

¹² He answered, “Shouldn’t I say exactly what the Lord puts in my mouth?”^(A)

¹⁶ The Lord met with Balaam and put a message in his mouth. Then He said, “Return to Balak and say what I tell you.”
