20 (A)The soul who sins shall die. (B)The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. (C)The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, (D)and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

21 “But (E)if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 (F)None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall (G)live. 23 (H)Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?

24 “But (I)when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? (J)All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.

21 “But if the (D)wicked person turns from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die. 22 (E)All his offenses which he has committed will not be remembered against him; because of his (F)righteousness which he has practiced, he will live. 23 (G)Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “[a]rather than that he would (H)turn from his ways and live?

24 “But when a righteous person (I)turns away from his righteousness, commits injustice and does according to all the abominations that the wicked person does, will he live? (J)All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his (K)treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.

22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
