Ezekiel 1:4-6
International Standard Version
4 I was amazed to see a wind storm blow[a] in from the north, consisting of[b] a massive cloud and fire that was flashing back and forth, surrounded by bright light. From deep within the cloud,[c] something was shining that appeared to have a color like bronze that had been placed in fire until it glowed.

4 I looked, and I saw a windstorm(A) coming out of the north(B)—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,(C) 5 and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures.(D) In appearance their form was human,(E) 6 but each of them had four faces(F) and four wings.

4 Then I looked, and behold, (A)a whirlwind was coming (B)out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 5 (C)Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And (D)this was their appearance: they had (E)the likeness of a man. 6 Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.
