Then the glory of the Lord [C his manifest presence] went up from the ·living creatures [L cherubim] and stood over the ·door [threshold] of the ·Temple [L house]. The ·Temple [L house] was filled with the cloud [Ex. 40:34–38], and the courtyard was full of the brightness from the glory of the Lord. The sound of the wings of the ·living creatures [L cherubim] was heard all the way to the outer courtyard. It was like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

When the Lord commanded the man dressed in linen, “Take fire from between the wheels, from between the ·living creatures [L cherubim],” the man went in and stood by a wheel.

Then the glory of the Lord(A) rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple. The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the Lord. The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard as far away as the outer court, like the voice(B) of God Almighty[a] when he speaks.(C)

When the Lord commanded the man in linen, “Take fire from among the wheels,(D) from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside a wheel.
