13 Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah(A) son of Benaiah died. Then I fell facedown and cried out in a loud voice, “Alas, Sovereign Lord! Will you completely destroy the remnant of Israel?(B)

And it came about, [a]when it had (A)finished eating the vegetation of the land, that I said,

(B)Lord God, please pardon!
How can Jacob stand?
For he is (C)small.”
The Lord (D)relented of this.
“It shall not be,” said the Lord.

So the Lord God showed me, and behold, the Lord God was calling to contend with them by (E)fire, and it consumed the great deep and began to consume the [b]farmland. Then I said,

(F)Lord God, please stop!
(G)How can Jacob stand?
For he is small.”
The Lord (H)relented of this.
“This too shall not be,” said the Lord God.
