Ezekiel 15:6-8

6 Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Just like[a] the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest[b] which I gave to the fire for fuel, so I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7 And I will set my face against them. From the fire they mayescape,[c] but the fire will yet consume them, and they will know that I am Yahweh when I set my face against them.[d] 8 And I will make the land a desolation because they acted very unfaithfully!”[e] declares[f] the Lord Yahweh.

6 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As I have given the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest as fuel for the fire, so will I treat the people living in Jerusalem. 7 I will set my face against(A) them. Although they have come out of the fire(B), the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord.(C) 8 I will make the land desolate(D) because they have been unfaithful,(E) declares the Sovereign Lord.”
