38 And I will judge thee by the laws regarding women who commit adultery and those that shed blood; and I will give thee away in blood of fury and of jealousy.
39 And I will deliver thee into their hand, and they shall destroy thy high place and shall break down thy altars; they shall strip thee also of thy clothes and shall take the vessels of thy glory and shall leave thee naked and bare.
40 They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones and thrust thee through with their swords.

38 I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood;(A) I will bring on you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger.(B) 39 Then I will deliver you into the hands(C) of your lovers, and they will tear down your mounds and destroy your lofty shrines. They will strip you of your clothes and take your fine jewelry and leave you stark naked.(D) 40 They will bring a mob against you, who will stone(E) you and hack you to pieces with their swords.
