47 You not only followed their ways and acted according to their abominations; within a very little time you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.(A) 48 As I live, says the Lord God, your sister Sodom and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done.(B) 49 This was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease but did not aid the poor and needy.(C)

47 You not only followed their ways and copied their detestable practices, but in all your ways you soon became more depraved than they.(A) 48 As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign(B) Lord, your sister Sodom(C) and her daughters never did what you and your daughters have done.(D)
49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom:(E) She and her daughters were arrogant,(F) overfed and unconcerned;(G) they did not help the poor and needy.(H)
