²⁴ “But when a righteous person ^(A)turns away from his righteousness, commits injustice and does according to all the abominations that the wicked person does, will he live? ^(B)All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his ^(C)treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.

²³ The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their ^(A)wrongdoing, because they were disloyal to Me, and I ^(B)hid My face from them; so I handed them over to their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword.

²⁶ They will ^[a](A)forget their disgrace and all their ^[b]treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they ^(B)live securely on their own land with ^(C)no one to make them afraid.
