Ezekiel 21:6-8

⁶As for you, son of man, groan with breaking ^[a]heart and bitter grief, groan in their sight. ⁷And when they say to you, ‘Why do you groan?’ you shall say, ‘Because of the ^(A)news that is coming; and ^(B)every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will ^[b]faint and all knees will ^[c]be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it will happen,’ declares the Lord ^[d]God.”

⁸Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

⁶“Therefore groan, son of man! Groan before them with broken heart and bitter grief.^(A) ⁷And when they ask you, ‘Why are you groaning?^(B)’ you shall say, ‘Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt with fear^(C) and every hand go limp;^(D) every spirit will become faint^(E) and every leg will be wet with urine.’^(F) It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
