Ezekiel 24:5-7
American Standard Version
5 Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under [a]the caldron; make it boil well; yea, let the bones thereof be boiled in the midst of it.
6 Wherefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the bloody city, to the caldron whose [b]rust is therein, and whose [c]rust is not gone out of it! take out of it piece after piece; No lot is fallen upon it. 7 For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the bare rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust.

5 take the pick of the flock.(A)
Pile wood beneath it for the bones;
bring it to a boil
and cook the bones in it.(B)
6 “‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘Woe(C) to the city of bloodshed,(D)
to the pot now encrusted,
whose deposit will not go away!
Take the meat out piece by piece
in whatever order(E) it comes.(F)
7 “‘For the blood she shed is in her midst:
She poured it on the bare rock;
she did not pour it on the ground,
where the dust would cover it.(G)
