15 Egypt will be the least important of all kingdoms. It will never again have power over other nations. I will make it too weak to rule over other nations. 16 Israel will never again hope that Egypt has the power to help them. Instead, Egypt will cause Israel's people to remember their sin. Their sin was to ask Egypt for help. Then they will know that I am the Almighty Lord.” ’
17 The Lord gave this message to me on the first day of the first month of the 27th year:

15 It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations.(A) I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. 16 Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence(B) for the people of Israel but will be a reminder(C) of their sin in turning to her for help.(D) Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.(E)’”
