You drink their milk and you use their wool to make clothes for yourselves. You kill the best animals to eat. But you do not take care of the sheep! You have not helped the weak sheep to be strong. You have not made the sick sheep well. Nor have you covered their wounds. You have not looked for lost sheep and brought them back. Instead, you have ruled my people in a cruel way. So my sheep ran away to different places because they did not have a shepherd to take care of them. Then the wild animals found them and ate them.

You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock.(A) You have not strengthened the weak or healed(B) the sick or bound up(C) the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally.(D) So they were scattered because there was no shepherd,(E) and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild animals.(F)
