²⁶ I will make a covenant of peace with them;^(A) it will be a permanent covenant^(B) with them. I will establish and multiply them and will set my sanctuary among them forever.

²⁰ In the same way he also took the cup after supper and said, “This cup is the new covenant^(A) in my blood,^(B) which is poured out for you.^[a]

²⁵ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, and said, “This cup is the new covenant^(A) in my blood.^(B) Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

⁶ He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant,^(A) not of the letter,^(B) but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
