I will turn my ·power [L hand] against the ·rebuilt [resettled; inhabited] ruins that now have people living in them. ·I will attack […and] these people who have been gathered from the nations, who have become rich with ·farm animals [livestock] and ·property [goods], who live at the center of the world.”

10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind(A) and you will devise an evil scheme.(B) 11 You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people(C)—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.(D) 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.[a]
