The North Gateway

20 The man measured the length and width of the north gateway leading to the outer courtyard. 21 Its three rooms on each side, its inner walls, and its porch measured the same as the first gateway. It was eighty-seven and one-half feet long and forty-four feet wide. 22 Its windows, porch, and carvings of palm trees measured the same as the east gateway. Seven steps went up to the gateway, and the gateway’s porch was at the inner end.

20 Then he measured the length and width of the north gate, leading into the outer court. 21 Its alcoves(A)—three on each side—its projecting walls and its portico(B) had the same measurements as those of the first gateway. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. 22 Its openings, its portico(C) and its palm tree decorations had the same measurements as those of the gate facing east. Seven steps led up to it, with its portico opposite them.(D)
