12 And there was a door from the outer court[a] at the east.

13 Then he told me: “These north and south tiers of rooms facing the Temple yard are holy; there the priests who offer up the sacrifices to the Lord shall eat of the most holy offerings and store them—the cereal offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings, for these rooms are holy. 14 When the priests leave the Holy Place—the nave of the Temple—they must change their clothes before going out to the outer court. The special robes in which they have been ministering must first be removed, for these robes are holy. They must put on other clothes before entering the parts of the building open to the public.”

12 were the doorways of the rooms on the south. There was a doorway at the beginning of the passageway that was parallel to the corresponding wall extending eastward, by which one enters the rooms.

13 Then he said to me, “The north(A) and south rooms(B) facing the temple courtyard(C) are the priests’ rooms, where the priests who approach the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. There they will put the most holy offerings—the grain offerings,(D) the sin offerings[a](E) and the guilt offerings(F)—for the place is holy.(G) 14 Once the priests enter the holy precincts, they are not to go into the outer court until they leave behind the garments(H) in which they minister, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they go near the places that are for the people.(I)
