I had seen a vision like this when I was beside the Kebar River.[a] I had also seen a vision like this when God came to destroy Jerusalem. I bent down low with my face on the ground. The Lord's bright glory went through the east gate into the temple. Then a spirit lifted me up and took me into the temple's inside yard.[b] As I watched, the Lord's glory filled the temple.

The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when he[a] came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. The glory(A) of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east.(B) Then the Spirit(C) lifted me up(D) and brought me into the inner court, and the glory(E) of the Lord filled the temple.(F)
