17 So the border will run from the sea to Hazar-enon at the border(A) of Damascus, with the territory of Hamath to the north. This will be the northern side.
18 On the east side it will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel; you will measure from the northern border to the eastern sea.[a] This will be the eastern side.
19 On the south side it will run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh,[b] and on to the Brook of Egypt(B) as far as the Mediterranean Sea.(C) This will be the southern side.

17 The boundary will extend from the sea to Hazar Enan,[a] along the northern border of Damascus, with the border of Hamath to the north. This will be the northern boundary.(A)
18 “On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Dead Sea and as far as Tamar.[b] This will be the eastern boundary.(B)
19 “On the south side it will run from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribah Kadesh,(C) then along the Wadi of Egypt(D) to the Mediterranean Sea.(E) This will be the southern boundary.
