When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many (A)trees on one side and the other. Then he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the [a]valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever [b]the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.

When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh.(C) Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.(D)
