48 These are the names of the tribes.

The northern border runs east to west along the road between Hethlon, Lebo Hamath, and Hazar Enon, which forms the northern border of the territory of Damascus with the territory of Hamath.[a] South of that line there will be one portion for Dan.
South of[b] the boundary of Dan, from the east side to the west side of the land, there is to be one portion for Asher.
South of the boundary of Asher, from the east side to the west side, there is to be one portion for Naphtali.

48 “These are the tribes, listed by name: At the northern frontier, Dan(A) will have one portion; it will follow the Hethlon road(B) to Lebo Hamath;(C) Hazar Enan and the northern border of Damascus next to Hamath will be part of its border from the east side to the west side.

“Asher(D) will have one portion; it will border the territory of Dan from east to west.
