8 “So this is what the Lord God says: I myself am against you. I will punish you and the nations will watch. 9 I will do things among you that I have not done before. I will never do anything like them again. I will do them because you do the things I hate. 10 So fathers among you will eat their children. And children will eat their fathers. I will punish you. I will scatter to the winds all who are left alive.

8 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will inflict punishment on you in the sight of the nations.(A) 9 Because of all your detestable idols, I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again.(B) 10 Therefore in your midst parents will eat their children, and children will eat their parents.(C) I will inflict punishment on you and will scatter all your survivors to the winds.(D)
