The slain shall fall in your midst, and (A)you shall know that I am the Lord.

(B)“Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are (C)scattered through the countries. Then those of you who escape will (D)remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because (E)I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and (F)by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; (G)they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations.

“‘But I will spare some, for some of you will escape(C) the sword when you are scattered among the lands and nations.(D) Then in the nations where they have been carried captive, those who escape will remember(E) me—how I have been grieved(F) by their adulterous hearts, which have turned away from me, and by their eyes, which have lusted after their idols.(G) They will loathe themselves for the evil(H) they have done and for all their detestable practices.(I)
