5 He spoke as I listened to the others, “Pass through the city after him and start killing; do not show pity or spare them!(A) 6 Slaughter the old men, the young men and women, as well as the older women and little children,(B) but do not come near anyone who has the mark.(C) Now begin at My sanctuary.”(D) So they began with the elders who were in front of the temple. 7 Then He said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain.(E) Go!” So they went out killing people in the city.

5 As I listened, he said to the others, “Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity(A) or compassion.(B) 6 Slaughter(C) the old men, the young men and women, the mothers and children,(D) but do not touch anyone who has the mark.(E) Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the old men(F) who were in front of the temple.(G)
7 Then he said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain.(H) Go!” So they went out and began killing throughout the city.
